The Langholm Moor Demonstration Project was run by a Board of Directors, which included representatives from each of the partner organisations. The chair rotated on a three-yearly basis.
Though the formal project business ended in January 2018, the representatives still meet to ensure the project is analysed and publications are made. This group is currently chaired by Mark Oddy.

The project general manager was Graeme Dalby who co-ordinated all aspects of the project.
The project’s fieldwork was carried out by two teams:
A management team consisting of gamekeeping staff was headed by Simon Lester.
A science team of field workers who were responsible for planning and carrying out the bird counts and other wildlife surveys. This was led by David Baines of the GWCT.
The Board was advised on science and moorland management by a Scientific & Technical Advisory Group. The chair of this group also rotated on a three-yearly basis.
